This climb is easiest to access from Meadow’s Lane; and straight up the fire access road to Marcy Dam. You can also go in from the Loj if you prefer; but this is also a great winter route; and I came down the Marcy (I believe) ski trail to get a better idea where it runs. A large part of why I’m doing these is to gain more terrain knowledge and to come back and ski for my winter ascents.
The trail on these is often difficult to stay on; and usually wet even this year with record low rains. You’re going to want a way to track your progress to help stay on track; it’s going to be particularly interesting this winter because there are basically no blazes at all.
