A group trip from Meadows Lane to Adirondack Loj, with a detour up the Whales Tail ski trail. This I do not recommend, the ski trails are extra wet during the fall months. The advantage this does give you is that obtaining drinking water is trivial; assuming you brought along a filter or treatment tools; which on this trip we did not and it did present some challenges on the way back down.
As always Jasper our Shepsky had a blast; and as he does he wanted to just sit down at the summit and take in the view despite the fairly strong and cool wind.
